Outpatient Clinician, Substance Use Treatment Services (Franklin)


Edi Sauerwald is a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant and a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with lived experience in long-term recovery. Based at the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus in Franklin, he graduated from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 57), earned a master’s degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011, and completed the Addictions Counselor Education Program at UMass Boston in 2023. He uses Motivational Interviewing (MI), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with breathwork, meditation, and faith, when aligned with client goals. Outside his clinical work, Edi is a yoga instructor who enjoys hiking and the outdoors.
