Michael receives one-on-one counseling through Behavioral Health Services by Easterseals NH as part of his recovery from alcohol and substance use. What began as a step toward addressing his addiction soon became a deeper journey of understanding the experiences and trauma that shaped his struggles.
Through weekly sessions with his counselor, Greg, Michael says he has found something he once thought was out of reach: peace. “What I express to people is that I feel like a child again, like I did back when I was young,” he says. “I haven’t felt that way in a long time.”
